Isso é uma expressão deles pá, até que faz sentido. É +/- o equivalente ao nosso "Mais olhos que barriga", ou "more eyes than belly".

E tambem provavelmente não será tão mau como outros quereriam.



Portanto, estão tramados, façam o que fizerem.

em que bases te apoias para dizer isso? deixa-me adivinhar, estás tão apreensivo quanto eu devido ao elevado grau de publicidade que está a ter, é isso?! faz-te pensar que possa sair dali um album um pouco comercial demais?! uma banda é um conjunto de seres humanos, que erram, o St.Anger foi um album pessimo é verdade e apesar de nao te teres referido a ele nem a nenhum dos outros aposto que tens medo que saia dali uma coisa parecida com aquilo. foi um deslize, foi mau, that's ok - mas eles podem fazer melhor, podem nao cometer mais erros e pode vir dali um album melhor que o ride the lightning quem sabe.

esse termo..."comercial"...deixa-me sempre um pouco confuso em relação a Metallica por acaso...
Como diria o outro.."eu ainda sou do tempo" em que houve fãs a cuspirem no James Hetfield e Cª e a acusá-los de "vendidos" e "comerciais" por terem feito um video clip para a One...ou seja, o "comercial" de ontem tornou-se no sublime de hoje...
Se "comercial" é o que vende muito...seria talvez "comercial" se os Metallica editassem um Black Album todos os anos, algo que não têm feito.
Pode-se não gostar dos albuns que eles têm editado, mas se há uma coisa que não se pode dizer, é que eles se tenham alguma vez repetido ou que se tenham agarrado a alguma fórmula musical.
Penso que o farão novamente, embora seja prematuro estar a comentar só por alguns pequenos clips.
Quanto à publicidade excessiva...o que existe é apenas um site onde se pode ver esses clips...as pessoas é que falam excessivamente sobre isso...afinal trata-de de Metallifuckinca!!

fiz-me entender mal entao, eu nao me refiro ao termo comercial quando uma banda vende muito. nesse caso o mundo do metal estava cheio de bandas comerciais.
a pressao das editoras leva os musicos a fazerem coisas absurdas para apresentarem os albuns. o panorama do metal tem um publico muito particular e muito fiel (dentro do possivel, tambem nao quero generalizar), o tipo de propaganda que as bandas têm que fazer é muito discreto, é algo que só abrange este publico e mais nenhum. os metallica na altura do St. Anger, por exemplo, quiseram abranger mais publico e por isso atrás da apresentação do album veio um album feito especialmente para todos os que estivessem disponiveis para gostar deles e nao para os fãs da banda especificamente.
talvez nao se tivesse achado nada de mal quando o disco foi super aclamado, mas depois de ser ouvido acho que os fãs de metallica se sentiram traídos. é a melhor expressao para descrever o sentimento, que pelo menos eu e mais algumas pessoas (muitas) com quem tive a oportunidade de trocar ideias, sentiram.
Eu acredito em metallica, porque como me provaram que trairam a minha confiança tbm ja mostraram que sao os melhores com musicas como a master of puppets, fade to black, seek and destroy, etc etc
e concordo ctg quando dizes que é prematuro estar aqui a comentar o proximo album. por isso nao dou palpites sobre ele, limito-me a dizer que acredito na banda e a defender os projectos anteriores que tao criticados sao

We picked “Remember Tomorrow” from Iron Maiden's self titled first album . . . it was basically the blueprint for songs like “Fade to Black” and “Sanitarium” and when we were jamming our way thru most of our favorite early Maiden songs, this one stood out and also came together somewhat effortlessly. . . we had a blast recording it at HQ in the middle of all the insanity of the last two weeks of finishing the new album back in May. Some of our other favorite bands recorded their own versions of Maiden songs too . . . Machine Head, Trivium, Avenged Sevenfold, Coheed And Cambria, Dream Theater to name a few. 15 of Kerrang!'s favourite bands have come together to pay tribute to the planet's greatest metal band - Iron Maiden!

Following on from our 2006 Kerrang! Remastered CD in honour of Metallica's Master Of Puppets, this latest collection - Maiden Heaven - features bands covering tracks from Iron Maiden's legendary career, and will be given away free in Kerrang! issue 1219 on sale July 16.

The CD includes world exclusive performances from Metallica, Machine Head, Trivium, Avenged Sevenfold, Coheed And Cambria, Gallows and more!

Chatting exclusively to Kerrang!, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich tells the readers how much respect the Bay Area thrashers have for the Brit metal legends.

"Iron Maiden are 10% cooler than every other band," says Ulrich. "From their relationship with their fans, to their album covers to their stages, to their live presentation, to their photos - whatever they did was always cooler than what everyone else did! I have always had an incredible amount of respect and admiration for them and obviously getting a chance to be part of this CD feels that that has come a full circle. We played Remember Tomorrow as it was basically the blueprint for songs like Fade To Black and Welcome Home (Sanitarium), and some of the more epic ballady type of songs that Metallica had done later. We had so much fun with this!"

Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn is equally excited to be a part of this project.

"When I was a kid Iron Maiden were a very big deal to me and the influence they had on Machine Head has been huge," he reveals. "We decided to cover Hallowed Be Thy Name for this CD because it's just such a great song, in fact it's a classic. I just love the way the vocal line goes up and down, so dramatic. If someone who'd never heard them wanted to know what Iron Maiden sounded like I'd point them in the direction of Hallowed Be Thy Name."

Metal heroes Trivium are happy to admit their own brand of heavy tunes could never have existed without Maiden's worldwide influence.

"Iron Maiden helped create what we know as heavy metal," states frontman Matt Heafy. "Their influence can be heard on classic and contemporary bands alike; their fan base spans across the youngest and newest of heavy music recruits all the way to the diehard, life-long metal elite. We chose to play the track Iron Maiden, as the song that screamed out our love for them musically, and we knew it would be a really fun song to jam out in the studio. It was an honour to be able to play one of Iron Maiden's tracks and have the opportunity to contribute to this amazing CD. We hope everyone has as much fun listening to it as we did making it!"

Meanwhile, Avenged Sevenfold - who have been picked to support Maiden at their upcoming Twickenham Stadium show on July 5 - say they are "honoured" to be part of this Kerrang! tribute. "Maiden are by far the best live band in the world and their music is timeless," says vocalist M Shadows. "This also gives us a chance to expose this great song to some of our younger fans who maybe aren't as familiar with Iron Maiden."

UK hardcore punk rockers Gallows chose to contribute a version of Wrathchild to the collection.

"We're actually all huge Maiden fans and while learning Wrathchild we discovered a new found respect for the band as musicians," says guitarist Laurent Barnard. "Some of their riffs are pretty fast and Steve Harris has definitely earned his place as a bass legend! We're so happy we were asked to be included!"

This Kerrang! Maiden Heaven CD's arrival coincides with the band's European leg of their Somewhere Back In Time World Tour - and follows on from the release of their own collection Somewhere Back In Time: The Best Of 80-89.

"Maiden much appreciate and are very flattered by all the time spent on this by a lot of great bands," says Iron Maiden's manager Rod Smallwood, "and would like to thank them, and also Kerrang!, for the honour. Thanks everyone!"

Metallica have confirmed that there will be a special edition of their forthcoming album 'Death Magnetic' released that will come in a limited edition Coffin Box.

In a statement on the Metallica Mailout list, the band have said:

"For you collector types out there we just had to put together something next level when the new record comes out in the Fall...how about 'Death Magnetic' in a coffin box? The special edition box will come out the same day the album does (we'll tell you when that is soon...very soon) and will of course include the full CD (duh!), along with everything next level cool relating to 'Death Magnetic!'"

Seriously, there will be a CD with the demos of the songs, a DVD of even more 'making of the album' footage not seen on Mission: Metallica, a t-shirt only available in this box, a flag, guitar picks, and a fold out poster along with a collector's credit card embossed with a code to redeem a free download of a special European show happening in September (yes, details coming soon!)."

A primeira musica deles que ouvi foi a Nothing else matters, graças a minha prima, e pouco tempo depois vi um video deles na tv, e então, foi a segunda musica que ouvi deles, Until It Sleeps, devia ter os meus 6 ou 7 anos, foi quando o vídeo começou a passar na tv, acho que ate era no velho top+, lembro-me ja eu...
Como a minha prima ouvia, desde novo fiquei com Enter Sandman, Creeping Death e Sanitarium no subconsciente, depois a minha prima deixou de morar cá. e Fiquei uns anos sem me lembrar disso tudo, até que quando entrei para o ciclo, começei a ouvir aquelas bandas mainstream, como Korn, MM, LB e afins, e em 2003 quando fui para a secundaria vi o vídeo da St. Anger e da Frantic, e fui descobrir mais merdas de Metallica, e foi aí que tive choques nostalgicos com algumas musicas como a Until It Sleeps. xD
Só por isso é que Metallica é tão especial para mim.
