"The same pit that expelled the Portuguese fanzine The Land of Sorrow now vomits the webzine before your very eyes and at the site of your destruction. The interlude, which lasted ca. 2 years, thus resulted in a successful conjuration of relevant entities and formats necessary to haunt the virtual lines with a webzine dedicated to the Extreme.



The (first) experimental version of Back to the Grave consists of unreleased review/ interview material, as well as some samples of the editor’s work while contributing to the German Invader (now permanently down).



The core of this publication is to disseminate and promote selected bands’ work and efforts, events, other publications, et caetera. The scope of Back to the Grave is by no means limited to music in particular, but is dedicated to extreme art in general. You will therefore be able to contribute with suggestions and whatnot to the ‘Literary Section’ and every opinion shall be considered valid. Spontaneous contributions are therefore hellcome, even if apparently not contemplated by the sections herein available.



Do expect regular updates and feel free to get in touch. Priority shall be given to Death/Black/Doom bands, but occasional exceptions shall be made. Should you be looking to promote your (friend's) nu-metal/ punk/ gothic band(s), feel free to leave these pages and find another, more suitable support. Hail & Kill."

October 2003
First and foremost, it is with great delight that I witness the daily growth of our virtual Grave. In but 15 miserable days, 500 visitors have dug the webpages of Back to the Grave - and came back again. I considered the time appropriate for mutation.

As you have probably already noticed, Back to the Grave has been slightly re-designed. The reasons why we proceeded to this alteration lie in the thus provided easier access to the sections herein available. We have decided to increase the importance of the 'Interaktion' section, thus granting selected bands and other entities the opportunity to promote their vomits on these pages.

Some of the old sections have been permanently inhumed; others have been enlarged. It is our firm purpose that you end up responding in some way to the opportunities the site offers you. The webzine is dedicated to Extreme Art in general - Death/Black/Doom metal being the priorities. However, the re-designed literary section will allow you to post your work and / or reference authors. The future might bring other sections into the Grave.

A lot of worms are being summoned for future burials.
