Estranho ainda não haver uma crítica a este álbum visto que já saiu à algum tempo. ''Architect of Lies'' é já o quinto álbum de originais destes dinamarqueses Mercenary. Para quem ainda não os conheçe tocam melodic death metal com algumas influências de power metal. É incrível como certas bandas não param de nos surpreender com magníficos álbuns.
Os Mercenary têm um som único que lhes dá um especial carisma. Podem tentar procurar uma banda que soe como eles, porque não irão encontrar. Tanto a nível instrumental como vocal. A nível de produção é dos melhores álbuns que ouvi até ao momento de 2008.
Irrepreensível a todos os níveis, ''Architect of Lies'' é um álbum que, sem dúvida, mereçe a vossa atenção e tempo e considero-o essencial. Falhas? Este álbum não tem falhas, é perfeito do início ao fim.
