Following yesterday’s announcement that drummer Paul Bostaph has re-joined Slayer and will now once again collaborate with his former Exodus bandmate, Gary Holt, Slayer and Exodus have announced that they have simply decided to merge. The band(s) will now be known as Slexoder.
Said guitarist/CEO Kerry King in a statement:
“We realized that with Gary and Paul in the band now, we had just as much claim to the Exodus name as we did the name Slayer. As a result, we have decided to simply join forces. Look out — you’ve never seen a metal band this big n’ bad before!!!”
Inside sources say that Holt laid off the remaining members of Exodus last night.
As if all of this wasn’t interesting enough, the band(s) have now announced a co-headling tour… with themselves. Each evening’s performance will consist of one hour of Exodus songs, followed by one hour of Slayer songs, both performed by the same line-up.
“They realized they could up their guarantee while actually lessening the number of musicians, techs, merch people, booking agents, and managers,” our source tells us. “They figured out a way to increase their profits while decreasing their overhead. So it was a win-win.”

Nine Inch Nails will debut their new single “Came Back Haunted” this Thursday, June 06th. The track will impact at radio at 11:30am PST/2:30pm EST. It will be the first to surface from the bands coming new album which will be released later this year on Columbia Records.

Soa a Exivious e soa interessante. O que notei nesta música é que debitam menos riffs e golpes metálicos, a tendência pra já parece ir mais na direcção de sequências de riffs elaborados e desconfortáveis quebradas com momentos quase zen meshuggento.

GORGUTS To Release 'Colored Sands' In August

Canadian technical death metallers GORGUTS will release their fifth album, "Colored Sands", on August 30 in Europe and September 3 in North America via Season Of Mist. The band has also announced a string of headlining shows leading to and from this year's Hopscotch Festival. the U.S. trek, which begins on September 5 in Springfield, Virginia, will travel through Hopscotch before ending on September 8 in Worcester, Massachusetts.

GORGUTS guitarist/vocalist Luc Lemay previously stated that "Colored Sands" would be "a very detailed, dark, epic, emotional, conceptual record."

War On Music Records in 2011 released on vinyl the GORGUTS albums "From Wisdom To Hate" (2001) and "Obscura" (1998). These records were largely regarded as pioneering works in the technical death metal genre, and set the standard for the decade to follow.

GORGUTS' current lineup is as follows:
