Shining ao vivo na Holanda....

"So yesterday night I went to Shining, that Swedish black metal kind of bands which never performed in the Netherlands before. My girlfriend really wanted to go, so I went with her, no big deal so far. The first two support acts were ok, we socalised mostly in the back of the venue with friends and so on.

Then, about an hour later than expected, Shining gets on stage. Plays for a mere 2 minutes, before the guitarplayer throws his guitar from the stage into the audience (you could hear it crack!) and lifts his middle fingers to the audience screaming "I fucking hate you all". The sucker leaves the stage and the vocalist announces "please calm doen, this is going to take 15 minutes, please be patient". And right after he said that the guitarist comes on stage again and kicks the guitar amp he was using (which was provided by one of the support acts) down from a full stack, again you could fucking hear the tubes in it crack. From then on the audience starts screaming "gay", "fuck you" and so on, which didn't really help. At the same time the support band steps on stage, to secure their equipment. But insanely enough, at he same time also that guitarist starts hitting and kicking his other band members, so the band is now actually fighting on stage. Right after he hit the bassplayer (he was pretty much bleeding from his mouth and nose because of that) the bassplayer started kicking the microphone standard into the audience (which nearly hit my head actually) and some people out of the audience start pushing that guitarplayer as well, who pretty much was getting cornered on his way to the backstage area. He got a few good punches on his face right before he went in the backstage, and that was the ending of the night for me at least. Band closed in in the backstage area by the security, every visitor in the venue on the tip of their toes. Weird night I can tell ya.

Apparantly that guitarist later went missing that night. He swilled down a truckload of weird drugs, or so we must believe that. "

Bem, nestes tipos já nada me surpreende... se bem me recordo, a última tentativa de tour tinha acabado logo após o primeiro gig, depois de terem estourado o budget da tour logo em Oslo, em droga, pinga, and so on. Or so I've been told, não sei... mas esta história parece apontar no mesmo sentido.

Os ácidos não são pra meninos.

Eu ja tinha ouvido falar que Shinning ao vivo é o degredo total e quando os gajos conseguem dar um concerto não é nada de especial.

Contudo gostava de os ver uma vez.....

PS: O guitarrista terá sido o John Doe dos Craft......ja ouvi que esse gajo tb é pouco junky...

Update do concerto seguinte:

"They did perform in Leeuwarden yesterday, performed a bit more than an hour, and it still was a very weird performance, with Kvarforth spitting at, hitting and cutting and putting out his cigarette on his bass-player while he was playing throughout the set. The performance itself was quite good with the band concentrating itself mostly on Shining III and IV, I think there was only one song from the Shining II."
