Bem, fiz este tópicozinho porque não vi aqui Pestilence em lado nenhum e estava a sentir a falta de um tópico sobre estes senhores que parece que vão voltar à carga, segundo uma entrevista da Terrorizer deste mês, em 2009, salvo erro. E segundo o vocalista Patrick Mameli não vai sair nenhum Spheres II, mas sim, algo entre Consvming Impvlse e Testimony of the Ancients, vamos ver o que sai dali!

Para os que não conhecem:
Pestilence é uma banda holandesa, formada em 1986 com o estilo Thrash Metal, com o famosíssimo album "Malleus Maleficarium"
Mais tarde, em 1989, lançaram uma pérola do Death Metal (ainda com influencias evidentes de Thrash), o album Consvming Impvlse, com um artwork completamente fora de serie. Lançaram ainda outra bomba do Death Metal em 1991, Testimony of the Ancients, e mais tarde, lançaram o album Spheres de Jazz/Progressive Metal em 1993. Um album inovador, sejamos realistas que cativou muitos ouvintes, mas por outro lado decepcionou alguns fãs. A banda continuou então até 2006, data em que se separaram. Mas pelos vistos este ano o vocalista Patrick Mameli conseguiu reunir a banda e estão a trabalhar num novo album, previsto para 2009. Esperemos que não se quebrem espectativas.
