Vallenfyre - To Release New Album

Death/doom outfit Vallenfyre have returned to GodCity studio in a frozen Salem, MA to record the follow up to their second album, Splinters (2014). The new album will be entitled Fear Those Who Fear Him and sees the band recording as a three piece for the first time.

Joining stalwarts Gregor Mackintosh (vocals and guitar) and Hamish Glencross (guitar and bass) on the new record is Waltteri Väyrynen (drums) with production duties once again being helmed by Kurt Ballou (Converge, Nails,etc.).

Gregor Mackintosh comments: "12 songs. No samples. No triggers. No bullshit. Instead you get crucifyingly loud amps, ferocious drumming, and vicious vocals spitting out hate and venom. Raw honest brutality. No conformity. No compromise. A murderous nightmare vomiting poisonous bile onto a twisted world. Yeah, that's the bits I like..."

Fen - New Album Detailed

Fen have a new album ready to be released. Titled Winter, this is the UK black metal band's fifth studio album and Code666 Records will release it on March 17th, 2017. Winter was produced by Jaime Gomez Arellano and will be available in CD, double black vinyl limited to 300 copies, and digital formats. The Watcher commented: "With Winter we wanted to 'return to the roots' of the band so to speak but not in the clichéd, nostalgic way many bands do - instead, we wanted this record to represent the 'essence' of Fen in terms of tone, atmosphere and above all concept. This album therefore very much describes a journey towards sanctity and redemption across a landscape steeped in mystery, hints of forgotten darkness and sorrows long since drowned in the distant past. It represents the culmination of over 18 months of writing and rehearsing, pushing ourselves harder and harder as musicians - it is a lengthy and self-indulgent record for which we make no apology. Indeed, it is a fitting tribute to mark ten years of the existence of Fen."

Bell Witch - To Release New Album 2017

Funeral doomers Bell Witch are going to release a new album 2017. The band will enter the studio in March and the album is scheduled to be released in the autumn of 2017. The new album will be the first featuring new drummer/vocalist Jesse Shreibman, and according to the band's Facebook page, Shreibman is also going to play an analog organ on the album. The record will be called As Above, So Below and it will be one song divided into seven movements.

In a recent interview, Dylan Desmond said: "We're a little over half way into our third full length. It's going to be one long song divided into 7 passages. We're aiming for 80 minutes, give or take a few."

VAMPIRE: NEW ALBUM "WITH PRIMEVAL FORCE" ANNOUNCED, COVER ARTWORK REVEALED

VAMPIRE have unveiled the cover for their upcoming second full length album "With Primeval Force", a monstrous piece of handcrafted art by renowned artist Nick Keller.

With the release of their self-titled debut album and the follow-up EP "Cimmerian Shade" VAMPIRE have made quite an impression on the scene of extreme metal with their unique mixture of harsh Teutonic thrash metal riffs, sombrous melodies and ghoulish vocals from the grave. Now VAMPIRE will return with the worthy successor of previous deeds, "With Primeval Force", offering nine tracks of furious and nightmarish death/thrash metal. Still remaining true to the path they have chosen, VAMPIRE have further embedded a dimension of eeriness, a baleful aura that indwells every track like a black spell.

FIRESPAWN: ANNOUNCE RELEASE OF NEW ALBUM "THE REPROBATE", COVER ARTWORK REVEALED

Swedish devil worshippers FIRESPAWN have announced the release of "The Reprobate", the follow-up album of 2015's much lauded debut album "Shadow Realms". Today the band unveils the cover artwork, as you can see above. It's an excerpt of a huge painted piece of artwork, done by Mr. Paolo Girardi, who has been responsible for the artwork of FIRESPAWN's debut album as well as artworks for bands such as Black Breath, Power Trip, Chthe'ilist, Manilla Road and many more.

"The Reprobate" will be descent upon mankind on April 28th. Expect nothing less than a merciless piece of evil, ferocious and blasphemous death metal.

FIRESPAWN is the incarnate abomination of LG Petrov, Victor Brandt (both Entombed AD), Fredrik Folkare (Unleashed, ex-Necrophobic), A. Impaler (Necrophobic, Naglfar) and Matte Modin (Raised Fist, ex-Dark Funeral).

WORMWOOD new album "Ghostlands - Wounds From a Bleeding Earth" has been recorded and mastered by Sverker Widgren at Wing Studios, a renowned veteran of sound engineering on the Scandinavian extreme metal scene (October Tide, Demonical, IXXI, DIABOLICAL)
The cover art created by the wildly talented photographer and designer: Mario Polzin of Moornebheym Design.

The new album will be released in the 10th of March, that's when the burning star will hit the world.

Although we’ll never consider ourselves close to LVCIFYRE, Adversarial, Deathspell Omega, and Akhlys, the influence of this new wave of obscure metal on us these last years has been massive. The result is our most epic death metal effort ever conceived."

“ Stefano Morabito and his 16th Cellar Studio set up a new standard with the production of Adveniens,” he continues. “Never before has our sound reached such a level of uncompromising intensity without sounding forced or overproduced. The maniacal efforts made to perfect every single drum beat, vocal line and guitar chord almost caused a nervous breakdown but it truly paid off.”

“The entire album is a reflection on history and time, on the succession of futile ages, on the role of the poet as soothsayer and witness of the winds of time erasing each one of these ages from the face of the earth. A reflection on Walter Benjamin predicting the ‘adveniens’ of David Cronenberg, on Professor O’Blivion predicting an era when ‘all of us will have special names.’ Adveniens is a violent reflection on art.”

NILE - Announce New Member

Nile will be embarking on their next tour in support of their latest release What Should Not Be Unearthed on Feb 14, 2017. The tour will be with the legendary Overkill and will visit 24 cities across America. The band and would also like to announce that Dallas Toler-Wade has decided to leave the band to focus on his own plans and recordings.

This tour also marks the debut of Nile’s newest member, guitarist / vocalist BRIAN KINGSLAND. After this tour the band will is tentatively scheduled to return to Europe this Summer for a series of METAL Festivals followed by a WSNBU-Latin America tour. NILE is already working on songs for their next album which will be recorded in late 2017 for an early 2018 release. More info will be released in the coming months.

"I would like to personally thank Dallas Toler-Wade for his many years with the band, and sincerely wish him well with his music .

All of us in Nile are truly happy and thankful to be working with Brian. Not only is he a seriously talented Extreme Metal Guitar Shredder, but he has a great Brutal Metal voice , with a very versatile range . Brian is also a genuine , down-to-earth hard-working and motivated guy who has helped reignite and re-establish a sense of team work back into Nile. With the addition of Brian on guitar and vocals, the band right now seems to me a lot more like the early years of Nile- the classic Nile era when we were all functioning as a cohesive unit , in viciously brutal triple vocal attack mode. The mood in the Nile rehearsal room for the last 3 months has been focused and relaxed; with 4 positive, energized, hard working people all on the same Metal page. We simply can’t wait to share what we have been working on with Metal Fans on the upcoming Overkill Tour. Between the addition of Brian, and Bassist / Vocalist Brad Parris now in his 2nd year in the band , this line-up is going to crush skulls.
