‘Impact Velocity’ features contributions from Derek Roddy (drums), Fred Leclercq (bass), Nicola Manzan (violin, cello, viola), Shane Embury (bass), and Russ Russell (producer and navigator of paradoxology). The first pressing will come in Digipak and includes an exclusive bonus track entitled “Insult to Injury”.

Era sim, mas:

Mitch Harris Escreveu:"The initial idea for MENACE began with a plan to work with Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY) and drummer Brann Dailor (MASTODON). Although Brann recorded two songs initially, his responsibilities with MASTODON didn't allow time for such an intricate collaboration. In fact, we all became incredibly busy and as a result, new directives evolved, and to achieve my goal for MENACE I needed to see the album through myself."

Não é má, mas também não é grande coisa. E não é que se ouve bem o sr. Thurston Moore. :)

SLOUGH FEG - New Single Online

Slough Feg have just revealed basically everything about their new album that will follow The Animal Spirits. It is called Digital Resistance and you get to hear its title track today. The album is set for release in North America on February 18th, 2014 and will see Slough Feg on the road with a few West Coast shows scheduled in March. The band is hoping to do a short tour of Europe in May/June.

When asked if the new album was a concept album, vocalist Mike Scalzi explained that Digital Resistance is a concept album in the sense that The Beatles Sgt. Pepper is a concept album: "It has somewhat of a consistent lyrical theme that runs through several of the songs, but not every song— it is not a concept album in the sense that our Traveller album is."

Tracklist:

01. Analogue Avengers / Bertrand Russell's Sex Den
02. Digital Resistance
03. Habeas Corpsus
04. Magic Hooligan
05. Ghastly Appendage
06. Laser Enforcer
07. The Price Is Nice
08. Curriculum Vitae
09. The Luddite
10. Warriors Dusk

Scalzi discusses the cover art: "The artwork for this album was, as usual, a bit of a struggle. I had no idea how to represent an album called Digital Resistance. We finally decided that we wanted the background of Kiss' Destroyer album (a city in ruins), but instead of a rendering of our band in the forefront, I wanted the space-dog (Vargr) from Traveller. But we'd already used him, so I thought about wolves. I thought maybe a symbol (involving a wolf) representing the birth of a civilization might be appropriate. And that's what we did — we put Romulus and Remus, the two mythological children who founded Rome, and were raised by a wolf, in front of this destroyed civilization. What does it have to do with Digital Resistance? Modern primitivism? An atavistic civilization? Nothing whatsoever? Well, I suppose only time will tell."

Machine Head Being Sued By Former Bassist Adam Duce

Things could get messy for Machine Head. As it turns out, Adam Duce's exit from the band wasn't that amicable after all. According to Courthouse News, the former bassist has filed a lawsuit against the band and their manager in Federal Court. He seeks damages for trademark infringement, breach of partnership agreement and defamation, among other things. Ouch!

Duce claimed in court that Machine Head kicked out the bassist/co-founder just before signing a new record deal then falsely claimed he had quit the metal band because he was "sick of it." Duce believes he was fired just before the deal was completed with defendant Nuclear Blast America to allow the other band members to make a bigger profit. The band formed a general partnership - Machine Head - and a corporation - Head Machine Touring Inc. - under which each member owned 25 percent. But despite this, co-founder Robb Flynn got a larger portion of the band's income, Duce claims.

"Despite their increase in popularity and touring revenue, plaintiff became concerned with how little income he was receiving, despite the time and hard work put in to developing the band," Duce says in the complaint. He says he questioned Flynn and the band's manager, defendant Joseph W. Huston, but never got a satisfactory answer.

In 2009, Machine Head toured with Metallica in Europe, grossing more than $2 million. A 2012 Europe tour grossed more than $3 million, according to the complaint.

Entombed has apparently split into two separate bands.

Back To The Front, the new album that was recorded last year by four members of the most recent lineup of the legendary Swedish metal act, LG Petrov, Nico Elgstrand, Olle Dahlstedt and Victor Brand, and recorded with Roberto Laghi, will come out under the name Entombed A.D.. Furthermore, it was announced that frontman LG Petrov will only perform with Entombed A.D. and not take part of any upcoming shows announced under the name Entombed. Back To The Front is now being scheduled for a spring release after several delays.

Original Entombed members Alex Hellid (guitar) and Ulf "Uffe" Cederlund (guitar) will join forces with former Entombed frontman Orvar Säfström to perform the band's classic second album Clandestine (1991), on February 1st at Gävle Konserthus in Gävle, Sweden. They will be backed by the 65-piece Gävle Symphonic Orchestra and a 40-piece choir.

Alex Hellid did not participate in the writing and recording of Back To The Front.

Century Media Records already lists Entombed A.D. on their website.

Novas do álbum de Today Is The Day

Visionary metal act, Today Is The Day, has confirmed a new lineup, as two new trusted assassins have been engaged to forge the band's tenth studio full-length, which is fully written and already coming to fruition.

Now joining Today Is The Day's founding guitarist/vocalist, Steve Austin, Jeff Lohrber is laying down this album's percussive attack. Formerly also a touring drummer for Trap Them, Shai Hulud and Dead To Fall, in addition to providing vocals/guitar for Harlots, Lohrber currently pummels society as lead vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and recording drummer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin's Enabler.

Sean Conkling has been inducted to handle bass guitar. Conkling has supplied bass, vocals and countless other musical/engineering contributions to a plethora of acts including Jermflux, Regression, Nobody, Burn Your Halo, Sidra, Sprawl and others, and since 2005 has been an engineer at Burning Blade Studio in Tempe, Arizona.

The band is excited to announce this decimating and creative new lineup and sick record, which is already well under way and near completion. In Early December 2013, the band entered Steve Austin's Studio, Austin Enterprise Recording and Mastering in Maine. Steve has produced almost all of the TITD records and groundbreaking albums for Lamb Of God, Converge, Deadguy, From Ashes Rise, Anal Cunt, and many others. This new opus in the mesmerizing Today Is The Daylineage coming together over the months ahead is a fifteen-song rampage of bloody carnage fueled by hate, love and vile, raw emotion.

States Austin of the process, and on the energy channeling through the new album. "I am super excited about this new album. I feel it is my finest work to this date. It is the most complex and HEAVY metal/noise record we have ever made. This is real. We got together and wrote these songs. No bullshit Protools crap; just pure violent energy and real band songwriting in the middle of the woods in Maine. I would say it lies somewhere between Temple of The Morning Star and In The Eyes of God, and Jeff's playing is beyond incredible. I was determined to push the limits in complexity, musicianship, and creativity as far as we could and I feel we have put together a record that narrates the horror and pain that we have been living through."

Further transmissions on Today Is The Day's abhorrent reign will continue in the weeks ahead, both as the tenth album's studio progress continues and then on the streets, as 2014 tour actions are also in the works.
