Esse assunto já rendeu, mas a verdade é que eu nunca me canso. A reunião do Sepultura. O assunto voltou a ser debatido, já que numa entrevista recente (pode ler aqui, em inglês) Max Cavalera diz que a reunião quase aconteceu ano passado. Traduzi abaixo o trecho da entrevista que diz respeito a isso:


Max: “(a reunião) Quase aconteceu no ano passado. Eu liguei ao Andreas (Kisser) porque eu queria que rolasse e disse: “temos que fazer isso, cara. Já é hora!” e ele disse “OK, vamos fazer isso”. Depois disso ele veio com um monte de exigências, envolvendo todas pessoas que trabalham pra ele e se colocando como o chefe de tudo. Aí eu disse “Se for rolar, não será assim”, daí ele começou a falar muito sobre dinheiro e coisas do tipo. Foi aí que eu desisti. Isso não diz respeito ao dinheiro, diz respeito ao nome da banda e em mostrar para as pessoas do que somos capazes quando estamos juntos, portanto eu já não sei se irá rolar. Também não estou preocupado com isso. Acho que quando as pessoas ouvirem o novo álbum do Cavalera Conspiracy, vão esquecer da reunião do Sepultura, por que o álbum é muito poderoso.”


Vamos ver se eu entendi. O Max é o bonzinho que faz tudo pelos fãs e o Andreas é o mercenário mandão. Sempre achei contrário. Cara, se eu fosse o Andreas agiria da mesma forma. Afinal ele já é gato escaldado. Se ele deixa as rédias em mãos alheias, vem a mulher do Max e escraviza geral. É obvio que iria pedir mais dinheiro, pois se o Andreas faz N, um Max faz N vezes 4, mas isso ninguém liga. Além do que o Andreas não tem um contrato “vitalício” com a Roadrunner. Não estou aqui a tomar as dores do Andreas e nem sei a porcentagem de realidade do que foi dito pelo Max, mas a real é que o Andreas nunca vai envergar só pra fazer a reunião pois ele já sabe no que está se metendo.
Ah, Max. Se a reunião do Sepultura soar como Cavalera Conspiracy, eu prefiro que nunca voltem a tocar juntos.
