TOMBS 'Fear Is The Weapon' Limited-Edition Collection Due In November

Brooklyn, New York's TOMBS will release a 14-track collection of early material, tracks from the band's split with PLANKS, and previously unreleased demos on November 9 via Relapse. Entitled "Fear Is The Weapon", the set will be strictly limited to a one-time pressing of 1,000 copies and will be made available through Relapse mailorder.

TOMBS has confirmed a handful of tour dates, teaming up with labelmates TOXIC HOLOCAUST in late November for a string of East Coast shows. In between touring, TOMBS has been writing material for the follow-up to "Winter Hours", with plans to record this winter.

Fiquei chocado com a notícia de que os DragonForce estão sem vocalista. É a minha hipótese (just kidding). É uma grande perda e os fãs da banda vão exigir um substituto a altura, mas vai ser dificil...

Como se este mundo não estivesse cheio de vocalistas de power/heavy/classico bem melhores do que ele.

Eu fiquei contente!
Uma coisa que caracteriza os vocalistas de power metal, é o facto de serem muito virtuosos a cantar, este era muita fraco. Em qualquer video no Youtube de Dragonforce ao vivo, ele não consegue cantar, até no cd ao vivo que a banda lançou este ano, com músicas gravadas o ano passado, a voz dele é mesmo fraca!

RAM-ZET's Miriam Renvag (also known as SfinX) will make a guest appearance on "Abyss Masterpiece", the fourth album from Portuguese dark/goth metallers HEAVENWOOD, tentatively due in early 2011 via an as-yet-undetermined record label. SfinX will appear on a track titled "Leonor".

Commented HEAVENWOOD: "We felt SfinX's vocals on 'Leonor' as if she was just side by side composing this melodramatic vocal lines for this song with us. She did a really fantastic work… A piece from her heart and soul is absolutely hand-delivered to you by SfinX enigmatic and very emotional voice on 'Leonor'."

[Zyklon]

THE WRETCHED END was formed in 2008 as creative collaboration between Samoth (Emperor/ Zyklon) and Cosmo (Mindgrinder). Samoth and Cosmo have previously worked together on the infamous deathpunk project Scum. Cosmo has also played with Zyklon as a bassplayer when Zyklon toured Europe as special guest for Morbid Angel in 2001. The two have long spoken about collaborating on an extreme metal project. Throughout 2008 most of the material for the debut album was composed and by spring 2009 a full pre-production consisting of 11 tracks were recorded.

Swedish drummer Nils Fjellström (Dark Funeral, In Battle, Aeon) has been confirmed as the drummer for the project. The drums was successfully recorded in Strand Studio, Oslo, September 2009. The album recording is scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2010. A vocalist is yet to be confirmed.

The yet untitled debut album is scheduled for release in 2010. Confirmed songs titles so far include "Zoo Human Syndrome", "Red Forest Alienation", "Residing in Limbo", "The Human Corporation", "Numbered Days", "Of Men and Wolves", "The Juggernaut Theory" and "Last Judgement".

THE WRETCHED END can musically best be described as a "Deathrash", taking elements from both Death Metal and Thrash Metal. Many of the songs are quite groove orientated, and also offers a melodic side. Influences range from the flavours of old-school as well as a more modern Death/ Thrash metal sound.

Motörhead anuncia lançamento de novo álbum

Já tem título definido e data para chegar às lojas o novo álbum da banda inglesa Motörhead. Lemmy Kilmister, Mikkey Dee e Phil Campbell batizaram o novo disco como “The World is Yours” e o lançamento está agendado para o dia 13 de dezembro.

O novo disco será o primeiro lançamento da banda pelo selo próprio, Motörhead Music, em parceria com a EMI. “The World is Yours” foi produzido por Cameron Webb, com quem a banda já vem trabalhando há anos, e trará 10 músicas novas no repertório.

“The World is Yours” chega às lojas dois anos após o último tabalho, “Motörizer”, de 2008.

NECROPHAGIST Guitarist Launches RADIANCE

RADIANCE, the solo project of Sami Raatikainen (NECROPHAGIST, ex-CODEON), has released its debut album, "The Burning Sun". The conceptual effort consists of a single 49-minute song and features guest vocalists Mats Levén (KRUX, ex-THERION, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) and Noora Häkkinen (NORADRENALINE). The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Sami Raatikainen.

Sami Raatikainen joined NECROPHAGIST in 2006 and has since played numerous tours with the band around the globe.
