Eu gostei do "Death Magnetic" e não estou a achar piada nenhuma a isto.
Ambas as faixas pareceram-me uma tentativa de regresso ao passado muito forçado.

Eu não acho mal o regresso ao passado, mas concordo que se soa a forçado não obrigado. Os Carcass por exemplo conseguiram um belissimo album misturando o Necroticism com o Heartwork, mas são excepções à regra.
Já que querem regressar ao passado que seja a tentar fazer aquele ambiente épico do Ride ou do Master, mas desconfio que isso se devia ao Cliff.

Eu vejo...
IMHO Há lá riffs que poderiam estar no St. Anger (há por aí uma versão deste disco com um som decente e é fácil de ver), outros que são cópias descaradas do And Justice for All. São estes os Metallica de hoje (mesmo assim melhores que na era Load).

Estás a falar de que versão? Havia uma versão de St. Anger feita por outros gajos, mas com "metade" da duração das musicas. E há também uma versão do Death magnetic do Guitar Hero com uma boa qualidade melhor do que o CD (qualquer coisa sobre a taxa de compressão no disco... assuntos que não domino minimamente).

podiam era estar quietos e deixar os lagares de azeite ao cargo de Machines Heades e os Triviums e o camandro.

Algo na toada lenta deles, Sad But True, Harvester, Minus Human, Devil's Dance, Carpe Diem..algo nesse género é que era interessante.

Soa a Metallica, não esperava mais. Por acaso gosto do Death Magnetic, portanto, algo nessa onda já seria muito bom.
Quanto ao ser forçado, se queres fazer algo na onda daquilo que já fizeste, vais ter de copiar coisas e forçar, senão, fazes algo novo.

BLACK CILICE ANNOUNCES NEW EP "Nocturnal Mysticism"

On December 16th, Iron Bonehead Productions is proud to present a special 7" EP from the notorious BLACK CILICE, entitled Nocturnal Mysticism. Featuring two new and exclusive songs, Nocturnal Mysticism is being released in conjunction with Black Cilice's first-ever live appearance, in Utretch, The Netherlands on the 16th of December. Since 2009, this mysterious Portuguese entity has prolifically built up a singular body of work, exploring the outer reaches of grim 'n' melancholic black metal - but always BLACK METAL in the purest, most traditional sense. With an unapologetically raw 'n' red-lined soundfield, Black Cilice locates "the spaces below" all his notes and gesticulations and drum hits, reverberating endlessly into The Beyond. The two new tracks on the aptly titled Nocturnal Mysticism see the entity staying the course, but offering a sort of disintegrated beauty, withering away like a lost specter by record's end. NEW ALBUM DUE IN EARLY 2017

Ukrainian barbaric back metal horde, BALFOR, have joined the ranks of cult French record label Drakkar Productions. Their new album is to be released early in 2017.

BALFOR states: “After a long wait we can finally present the new label. Balfor signs a worldwide deal with French Drakkar Productions. We're happy to be part of this legendary team and look forward to a fruitful cooperation. New album will be released in early 2017. More news to follow..."

BALFOR is a Ukrainian black metal band from Kyiv featuring Khors, Raventale and ex-Hate Forest members. The band plays a style that can be to define as barbaric black metal, a name that only partly explains the kind of dark, dramatic music they play. Music that is an epic, melodic and a blastingly fast mixture of black and death metal.

The band's frontman, continuously since its founding, is Anton Thorgeir Prymak - lead vocals, guitars and as well as main composer. The first album, Volki Severa, was released by German label E.O.L.P. Production and received many good reviews. In the meantime, the band completed their first Ukrainian tour.

Next release, Pure Barbaric, in a move calculated to bring BALFOR to the attention of a much larger audience was released for free download via a net-label. It was a move that was extremely successful in terms of increasing interest to the band. Using the resources and capabilities of social media BALFOR manages to attract new listeners worldwide.

Writing a new album, Barbaric Blood, Balfor signed a contract and published it on Pulverised Records. A European tour in support of the album was very successful. The band played shows in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland. BALFOR also took part in such well-known European metal festivals including Eindhoven Metal Meeting, Rockmaraton, Dong Open Air, Global East, Metal Heads Mission, Kilkim Zaibu, Gothoom, Carpathian Alliance, Metal Crowd and more.

After that Barbaric Blood was released by CD-Maximum Records for CIS and Baltic countries under the license of Pulverised Records. A second European tour BALFOR shared in the company of black metal bands Emptiness and Christ Agony. Without dwelling on their achievements, BALFOR returned to Kyiv and recorded the EP Haralds Of The Fall.

The new album, Black Serpent Rising, was recorded in 2015 and is awaiting release. The album interprets dark, barbaric past of humanity and ancient cults. Having huge experience of live shows, impressive list of club shows and festivals. Band used widely social media platforms and has fan-base all around the world. BALFOR is a worthy representative of Ukrainian and East European metal scene.

Due to the 20th anniversary of BLACK ALTAR - Odium Records announces a BLACK ALTAR/ Beastcraft split that will be released by the end of this year. It will be issued as a digipack cd and 2 months later as a gatefold LP and a wooden box with cd, vinyl, 2 t-shirts, patch, pin, posters and loads or rarities concerning BLACK ALTAR (limited to 50 copies only!). There were also some guests from Vader, Ondskapt, Acherontas and Beastcraft that took part in the recordings of BLACK ALTAR stuff.
