GRAVE DIGGER - Unveils New Album Cover


The successor to Grave Digger's "Clash Of The Gods" will be called "Return Of The Reaper", it has been revealed. The 17th album of the German metallers is, according to mastermind Chris Boltendahl, a strong focus back to the all time classic albums of 'Heavy Metal Breakdown' (1984), 'Witch Hunter' (1985) and 'The Reaper' (1993). The album cover was created by Gyula (Hjules Illustration and Design), who has been doing all Grave Digger album artworks since 'The Last Supper'. Release dates via Napalm Records:

•14 June 2014 - UK & rest of Europe
•16 June 2014 - Spain/Sweden/Norway
•15 July 2014 - USA/Canada

que assassínio... as covers estão muitos muitos furos abaixo dos originais, e eu nem sou um purista do DIO (até prefiro a versão dos Liege Lord do Kill the King e a dos killswitch engage do Holy Diver aos originais)

Belgian metallers Amenra released their latest opus Mass V back in 2012. "À Mon Âme" was one of the songs from that album and now you can watch the video for it. Amenra teamed up with top fashion photographer Willy Vanderperre, and director of photography Nicolas Karakatsanis for the 13-minute track. Make sure you watch the stunning video right here.

Says Colin H van Eeckhout of the collaboration: "It is not at all like the sort of visuals we usually present, it is more a case study, or a visual interpretation of the band, a little piece of concept art, if you will. The idea they [Willy Vanderperre and director of photography Nicolas Karakatsanis] had was stripping us of everything we had - 'what if we took it all away from them?', 'what if we took them from their comfort zone?'. No shadows or darkness to hide in, dark imagery, props or metaphors or symbols to use."

He continues: "Compare it to what we sometimes or mostly do with our music - stick to the mere necessary, take a minimalistic approach of a whole. What do we really need? To create a certain 'feeling' of emotion. For us, it was an extremely interesting cooperation. We normally keep our guard extremely high, never give something out of our hands, to keep it as close to our skin as humanly possible - that's exactly what they did as well, literally... It was awkward, uneasy, and very confronting for us to see, yet one of the most interesting things we did lately, and an honour for us to be working with such talented and inspiring people. 'Under a watchtower of punishing light.'"

"A Mon Âme" marks the second music video outing of the fashion photographer. The fellow Belgian approached the band after seeing them play live in Paris, and wanted to distill the intensity and power of their performance. "For the video, I wanted to be almost on their skin, very close in a hypnotic way," says Vanderperre.

Amenra will be hitting the road again in Europe, beginning next month and including plenty of festivals.
