Parece que o Rick Hunolt está de volta aos exodus (temporariamente???) que por acaso vão passar por cá também no hard club (já agora podem abrir um tópico para o concerto se ainda não o fizeram...).
Parece também que o Gary Holt vai dar uma ajuda aos slayer....

As previously announced, former EXODUS guitarist Rick Hunolt will be joining vocalist Rob Dukes, drummer Tom Hunting, bassist Jack Gibson, and guitarist Lee Altus for the Scion Rock Fest in Tampa, Florida on June 2nd and the band’s upcoming European shows.


Guitarist Gary Holt – who will be filling in for SLAYER’s Jeff Hanneman on their European & North American run – has confirmed that he will be joining his EXODUS bandmates for their Graspop Festival performance in Belgium on June 23rd for a special lesson in violence with a 3-guitar attack!

Não sou fã de cannibal corpse e muito menos de exodus actualmente, porém fiquei contente com o regresso do Rick Hunolt, pois foi o único membro da banda que na altura que cá vieram depois de muitos anos (e eu ainda apreciava o som da mesma) me deu um autografo sem pedir por favor . Além disso, participou nos albuns que mais me marcaram da banda! Atualmente passam-me ao lado, daí nem me ter lembrado de que já havia um concerto marcado há algum tempo...

Some inadvertent head-banging involving a pair of red underpants left the lead singer of a Swedish death metal band bloodied and in hospital, forcing the band to cancel a show in the United States.

Fans gathered to see Swedish metal band Opeth perform Monday night at a suburban nightclub in Minnesota feared the worst when they were told frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt has suffered "quite a serious accident" and wouldn't take the stage, the local Star Tribune newspaper reported.

Rumours began circulating in the crowd at the Myth nightclub in Maplewood that the 38-year-old Swedish singer and guitarist had been in a serious car wreck while on tour in the United States with fellow metal act Mastodon.

While Åkerfeldt had indeed been injured and rushed to hospital, the circumstances surrounding his wound turned out to be somewhat less dramatic, if not more bizarre, than originally feared.

"All that happened is I hit my head in Mastodon's [sic] tour bus as I was getting a new pair of (red) underwear out from my suitcase," Åkerfeldt wrote in a statement on the band's website following the incident.

He explained that the unintended head-banging left him with a gash "open down to the skullbone" which required eight metal staples to repair.

"So all rumors of me being in a car crash are false. I did crash my head into a car though, well...a bus really. Sorry," Åkerfeldt continued.

"Wish the story was more rock and roll, believe me."

Formed in Stockholm in 1990, Opeth is known for incorporating a number of influences into its music, including black metal and death metal, as well as blues and jazz.

Åkerfeldt has been with the band with the start and expressed his regret at disappointing fans that had come to the popular night spot outside of St. Paul, Minnesota, to see the legendary Swedish band.

According to the band's Facebook page, however, no additional tour dates are expected to be cancelled on account of the freak accident.

CARPATHIAN ALLIANCE FEST Will Be Held On A Mountain Top In The Carpathians Accessible Only By Chairlift

That's right, the most remote metal fest ever will be held in the mountain forests this August in the extensive Carpathians. Using this chair-lift visitors of the festival will be able to get to Vysokyi Verkh, where will be the big stage and only night show with many interesting and powerful bands of European heavy scene and Carpathian region scene. The fest will be held Aug 10 - 11, 2012.

The idea of organizing the powerful extreme music festival on the slopes of the Carpathians was occurred us quite a while ago, but only this year we were able to conduct some activities and negotiations for its implementation. Stylistically, the new project will cover FOLK/PAGAN/BLACK METAL genres and will not take place at the valley or forest. It will take place at Vysokyi Verkh mount, the one of the most amazing peaks of the Ukrainian Carpathians. This peak is situated at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level.

The lineup will include:
Dark Funeral, Carpathian Forest, Alkonost, Arkona, Bucovina, Devilish Ipressions, Inquisition, Molphar, Moonsorrow, Moribund Oblivion, Paganland, Todestriebe, Tyr, and Viter.

"Guitarist/vocalist Trond "Trondr Nefas" Bråthen of Norway's black metal masters URGEHAL has died at age 35, according to the band's record label, Season Of Mist.

Bråthen and guitarist Enzifer formed URGEHAL in 1992 in Hønefoss, Norway.

URGEHAL's latest album, "Ikonoklast", was released in November 2009 in Europe and January 2010 in the U.S. via Season of Mist's Underground Activists division. An EP, "Death Is Complete", followed in 2011/

URGEHAL celebrated its 15 year-anniversary in 2007 by releasing the album "The Eternal Eclipse - 15 Years Of Satanic Black Metal".
