SEPULTURA signs with Nuclear Blast

NEUROSIS To Release 'Live At Roadburn 2007' In August.

NEUROSIS, which is cited as one of the most influential bands of heavy music's experimental underworld, will release a new live album, "Live At Roadburn 2007", on August 30 via Neurot Recordings.

The first release from NEUROSIS since 2007's "Given to the Rising", this new live CD was recorded that same year in Tilburg, Holland, at the annual Roadburn festival where NEUROSIS headlined to a diehard audience. The album expertly captures as much of the band's live experience as one possibly could on a physical recording, harnessing the monolithic flow and power of the band's well-known sonically devastating live performances. The monstrous 78-minute record showcases this iconic band surging through hymns from their last few albums, including "Given To The Rising", "The Eye Of Every Storm", "A Sun That Never Sets" and "Through Silver In Blood".

"Live At Roadburn" will be made available on August 30 alongside the reissue of NEUROSIS' groundbreaking 1993 release "Enemy Of The Sun". The "Roadburn" album features the iconic artwork/layout skills of visionary artist/NEUROSIS live visual master Josh Graham, also responsible for the redesigned "Enemy Of The Sun" layout. Both albums will be released on CD as part of this year's celebration of the 25th anniversary of the legendary act.

Our upcoming album "Void" will be mastered at Cutting Room by Mats Lindfors in two weeks time. Cover art will be painted by our friend Lorenzo Mariani. If you don't know who they are and wish to know more about them, use Google for now to see what they've been previously involved with.

We assure you they will do great things for the final results.

These will be the last things that is going to be done with the album before it's 100% ready to be unleashed on all you maniacs.

Due to some events in my personal life I haven't had the time or the energy to take care of the Myspace page for a while, and I won't be doing it for a while longer still. I'm just writing this to let you know why we don't reply to mails and why your comments never gets approved. (There are too many mails to read to deal with right now.) IMMORTAL 'The Seventh Date Of Blashyrkh' DVD Trailer Available

Norwegian black metallers IMMORTAL will release a concert DVD, "The Seventh Date Of Blashyrkh", on August 6 via Nuclear Blast. The disc will include professionally filmed video footage of the band's headlining performance at the 2007 edition of the Wacken Open Air festival, which was held August 2-4, 2007 in Wacken, Germany.

In a recent interview with About.com, IMMORTAL's Demonaz stated about the progress of the songwriting sessions for the follow-up to last year's "All Shall Fall", "We already have three songs for the next album. We'll be working on the album this year. And we have material for a lot of other songs, so maybe in August we'll be finished with half the album. But we haven't come so far that I can see the end of the album."

He continued, "I think we'll try to work with the songs and make them classic IMMORTAL songs.

"The next album will be different than 'All Shall Fall'. I think the songs will come off as one package.

"Every album is different for us, but we won't try too many new things. We'll stick to the plan and make the music we like.

"Don't expect something revolutionary. (laughs)"

"All Shall Fall" sold around 3,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 162 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at No. 7 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"All Shall Fall" entered the German chart at position No. 33 and Finnish chart at No. 20. In the band's home country, the CD landed at No. 23 in its opening week.

"All Shall Fall" was released in North America on October 6, 2009 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD, which was issued in Europe on September 25, 2009, was recorded at Grieghallen and Abyss studios in Norway and Sweden, respectively.

The "Blashyrkh Limited Edition Bag" version of "All Shall Fall" includes:

Atheist - Album Title Revealed

Finally the title of Atheist's forthcoming reunion album has been announced. The fourth creation by the Technical Death Metal legends will be entitled Jupiter and is being recorded now at LedBelly recording studios in Atlanta, GA with Matt Washburn. The album is planned to be released in November of this year, with a world tour to follow. As stated earlier the album will be mixed by Jason Suecof (Chimaira, Trivium).

Atheist - Album Title Revealed

Finally the title of Atheist's forthcoming reunion album has been announced. ALTAR is a collaboration between Sunn 0))) and Boris that is a result of both bands conceptualizing, writing and recording together as one entity. There are elements of each group’s trademark sound but true to each group’s progressive and experimental aspects, ALTAR moves into a completely new dimension. This is the first NYC performance of ALTAR.

BXI is the collaboration between Boris and Ian Astbury. Southern Lord will release the debut recordings by this group in August 2010. This finely-crafted four-song release, simply entitled BXI, was tracked and mixed in Tokyo in late April. Astburys’ iconic vocals are a perfect match for Boris’s raw and emotive songwriting style. This is the first U.S. performance of BXI.

Listen closely to Jesse Sykes’s stark descriptions of isolation, sometimes-swaggering toughness, fragile human emotion, and the possibilities of love, and you’ll hear something that perfectly, tenderly, and surprisingly captures the feel of the 21st century so far.
