The band Control Denied was formed by Chuck Schuldiner to create progressive/power metal, mixed with elements of death metal recognizable in his earlier band Death. The band started in 1996 as Schuldiner wanted to procure a more melodic style than was possible with Death. The project was interrupted by Death's release The Sound of Perseverance in 1998, but finally the debut album was released in 1999. A second album, tentatively titled When Machine and Man Collide, was partly recorded, but the death of Schuldiner in 2001, put the recordings on hold. Remaining band members have expressed a wish to complete and release the material. Laurent Ramadier (2008). "A Tribute To Chuck Schuldiner". SNAKEPIT MAGAZINE # 10. http://www.emptywords.org/VoicesFromTheDarkside.htm. Retrieved 12 October 2008. However, there still exists a legal dispute over the rights of the material with Karmageddon Media, further postponing the completion and release. Part of these incomplete recordings were released in the Zero Tolerance two-part compilation of Chuck's b-sides and unreleased tracks. May 15th, actical posted on http://www.emptywords.org/NEWS.htm saying the 2nd unreleased Control Denied album will be release 'to finally produce the never before released last music Chuck was able to record in the studio. This is an important project not only to the fans who have been waiting years, for all of the “red tape” to disintegrate, but for Chuck’s long time close friend & drummer, Richard Christy and other band members, Chuck’s family and the entire international metal music community.'
Acho que esta banda ainda merece alguma análise e comentários, tanto pela sua qualidade como por tudo o resto.
