Drummer Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT, MURDERDOLLS, ROB ZOMBIE) was interviewed by Fuse TV's Mistress Juliya at a recent stop on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Watch the chat below.

When asked if there will be another SLIPKNOT record coming in the not-too-distant future following the recent passing of the band's bassist, Paul Gray, Jordison said, "Absolutely. I just wanna thank all the fans for their support on my loss. But there will be another record for sure."

Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison says the band will continue without bassist Paul Gray, and won’t replace him with a new full-time member.

Instead band members will play bass on new studio recordings, and they’ll look at options for a touring musician when the time comes.

But frontman Corey Taylor, who plays Sonisphere this weekend, is less clear on the band’s future.

Gray was found dead in a hotel room in May after overdosing on prescription drugs.

Jordison says: "There will be no other bass players besides Jim Root, Mick Thomson and me. Everyone plays guitar in the band so I think we’ll all play bass on the record.

"We’re not going to have anyone come in. Live - we’ll deal with that when it comes along."

But Taylor is less convinced about what happens next. He says: "We’re all talking. Everyone’s talking, and everything’s good - but we’ll see."

Só agora ouvir o "All Hope is Gone", e porra que a produção limpinha esconde das coisas mais agressivas já feitas pela banda. Se fosse o Ross Robinson a produzir tinha saido um mimo de javardice. Por outro lado sinto falta das influencias de sludge, que até ao "Volume 3" deram a sua graça.

O meu favorito é o Slipknot, ouvi-o tantas vezes no oitavo ano!!

Foram algumas tardes a jogar Time Spilitters 2 e a ouvir Slipknot. As pessoas criticam a banda e tudo mais, mas quem dera a muitas bandas terem um vocalista e baterista como o deles, e quem dera aos putos de hoje em vez ligarem a MTV e ouvirem Lady Gaga, ligarem o MTV e ouvirem a Wait and Bleed ou a Left Behind.

Slipknot returns

There was no doubt Paul Gray was very much still with his Slipknot family tonight as the band returned to the live stage for the first time since his sudden and tragic death last year.

Standing symbolically at the back of the stage was their fallen brother’s red jumpsuit, his mask and his bass guitar alongside his band mates, who also turned the clock back to don matching red jump suits and old school style masks.
