A BP tem para distribuir em Portugal algumas cópias de Cloacal Mediation, a demo de estreia dos Black Bile, uma banda cipriota de funeral doom que está a tomar a cena do extreme doom de assalto.
Edição limitada a 100 cópias numeradas à mão, em pro-cdr, com impressão profissional do tray inlay e booklet de 4 paginas.

Quick Review:
Absolutely phenomenal release, in short. Funeral Doom that was probably spawned by Wormphlegm but advanced upon by Black Bile and turned into something more psychotic than I ever expected, littered with screeching vocals and the odd Sludge riff to emphasise on the lack of any care for anything. In Depth Analysis
Black Bile is one of Cyprus' first Doom acts to escape from that English-ridden desert of an island in the Mediterranean, along with another act named Dictator, of whom I am also a fan. This is their debut release, and to be frank, nobody appears to know much about this band. Indeed, the band didn't care to name their line-up even. Could it be that Doom is the new Black Metal in the sense of obscurity and solitude?? Surely not! Anyway - onwards!
Black Bile begins this release with the atypically atmospheric Ambient intro before screeching their way into soul-shaking Funeral Doom in a manner that could have only been spawned by Finland’s “kvltest” band ever Wormphlegm (Not by the band’s own definition, I feel I should mention here, but by all the kiddies that worship them). But nevertheless, the approach to the music is very similar and “tortured” if you will, although the first person to call this “Suicidal” or “Depressive” will be mercilessly killed by yours truly. Some of the guitar riffs used here are very heavy and reminiscent of a Sludge/Doom approach to the music. Surely this is the only way that Wormphlegm could have ever been improved though, merging their style with a Sludge, “I don’t give a fuck,” approach? I think so! But Black Bile apparently beat them to it. Anyway, continuing; the vocals remind me of a really unlikely combination – Wormphlegm versus German Black Metal band Witchbane. However, the main point is that they do sound utterly deranged. One of the band members of Black Bile explained a possible reason why this was. He said that they made the vocalist listen to hours of Earth’s droning majesties before beginning the recording at a sewage plant (I think he said a sewage plant anyway)! Interesting way to get the best out of your band members, I suppose! Then again, I have to confess that I’d be a lot more ready to get up for work in the mornings if I had the comfort of knowing that I’d be able to listen to bands like Earth all day! So perhaps Black Bile are incredibly forward thinkers in this respect and we should all learn from them. I will surely draw my manager’s attention to this when I go into work next! Generally speaking though, this band is fucking sickening! The vocals are unworldly at times, as is the atmosphere that is presented.
I would complain about something on this release other than silly lack of track title or the small running time (in comparison to the average Doom act) if there was something else, but frankly, there is nothing. This is a rather excellent release; I have to confess, one that had surpassed my expectations, mostly due to Cyprus’ lack of a past within Doom Metal. I may compare Black Bile to Wormphlegm in approach, but based upon this release, I think it’s safe to say that I prefer Black Bile to the Finnish act. This is just so rumbling, disturbing, dark, fucked-up and oppressively warring with all who dare listen that I cannot help but prefer this music. Make no mistake though, as similar as this may be in parts to Wormphlegm, Black Bile very much create their own sound. An advancing from the Wormphlegm’s creation, if you will. I am happy that in a time where Funeral Doom is one of the most common solo projects of bored teenagers with Casio keyboards, that there are still outstanding releases such as this.
