Once more, The Goat strikes. Thrice he hits, with a single pause, to let us feel the pain. Void comes from the inner mind, it is a personal recipient of anguish, bitter pain and silent hate. Void has the property to immerse the listener into the void of the Goat, in a complete osmosis.

This 3" crimson cd-r features around 20 minutes of painfully slow, atmospheric funeral sludge. Guitars are spacey, heavy, incredibly low and reverberated, the few clean parts filled with darkness. The low end is clean, and pulses slowly, like a dying heartbeat. The tempo is incredibly slow and despondent, with reverberation which makes each beat last for a few seconds, bringing a cryptic silence feel to the whole. The arrangements are simple yet efficient, the riffs are rid with pure human hate, blackness and misanthropy - the real one, seldom seen or heard. The vocals are screams of anguish, drifting between sludge and black metal in influences. The punk feel is still here, in a "fuck-you all" way. A psychedelic double-solo in the second hymn must be mentioned, as it brings variation, and makes the song memorable. Various leads are sometimes present to break the catatonic state, and bring the Atmosphere: the bleak atmosphere of emptiness.

Silent, monolithic, these three hymns are representative of the Goat's musical and conceptual evolution - none more black. The interlude comes as a breath before the plunge into the Void, utter despondency at its height. This is not stuff to cut you open to. The Austrasian Goat is nothing but pure hate, for us to feel, to listen and to 'appreciate'. Not to be put into all ears. But one should try nonetheless.
