Before that "Apokalypse" will get its first ever stand-alone vinyl release, with embossed cover and some limited merchandise featuring the original 1997 design.

‘Bathed in A Black Sun’ includes four unreleased and exclusive songs from ‘Viscera’ recording sessions, which were mixed and mastered by Kurt Ballou and Brad Boatright. "The Grotesque" and "A Spear of Perfect Grief" are taken from 7 inches that were included with special edition vinyl of 'Viscera'. "The Construct of Misery” comes from a Decibel Magazine Flexi Disc, while the title track is pure unadulterated filth, slimed with sludge riffs and a crusty drum groove.
From the depth of in Iceland’s Reykjavik NYRST has forged a new blackened creation by the name "Völd", an album that pays homage to the immense volcanoes of Iceland. With “Völd” which roughly translates to “Force, power or might”, NYRST conjures forth music with the unrelenting and unforgiving harshness that the forces of nature have wrought upon every living being in their land through the ages. Written and rehearsed only a few kilometres from a lava spewing active volcano, they sought inspiration in the beauty and perilousness danger of the stark and chaotic surroundings, wishing to portray their material accordingly.
As the band says themselves: This release marks a big milestone in our career as a band. We’ve developed a lot as musicians since the release of “Orsök” and we took a very different approach to writing and composition. Our intention was to bring all the best elements of our previous work and implement new ideas along with a different theme, which in turn resulted in a much heavier, grim but melodic album.

We thought we’d offer a little something while we are held up concocting new alchemic brews in our lab.
Now, many of you have these cuts in your possession already, but nevertheless, we figured it’d be good to have all the covers we’ve done over the years compiled under one release. We aptly chose Inspiratio Profanus as the title for this purpose and we hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do! Consider this a homage to some of the artists that have inspired us and still do.
