Obsidian Codex double LP is at pressing plant and we are currently awaiting test press(es). In the meantime here are 2 songs from the album. Craft of Dissolution which originally was a song from our 7" on Drakkar Productions and Rites of Ascension which was part of the Promo MMX tape. There are 8 parts to Obsidian Codex with interlocking pieces provided by Fnrssn of Vanargandr cult. The album is 93 minutes of suffocating Black Metal in the Vassafor tradition and will be released by Parasitic Records


This year will also see 3 Vassafor split releases being recorded with NZ allies. The first will be a split 12" between us and Sinistrous Diabolus to be released on a UK label, further in the year releases are planned with Anno Domini Mortus and Vanargandr respectively. More information on all of these will come closer to the time. A compilation of metallic versions of Cold Meat Industry band songs will also feature a cover of a MZ412 track done within a suitably Vassaforian framework


The next live rituals manifest in Sydney on March 31st where Vassafor headlines the final night of The Devils Arcana followed by our Auckland appearance alongside USBM leaders Inquisition on June 6th, link here....other rituals are being formulated including an outdoor performance to scar peoples minds....

Depois de um hiato no que ao metal diz respeito e afastado das novidades (nem sei o que tenho que ouvir para trás) eis que há dois dias atrás voltei e deparei-me com estas duas bandas, totalmente desconhecidas para mim, que são boas surpresas.

Vemod
Constituída por dois membros ligados a bandas como Mare, One Tail One Head, Dark Sonority, bandas de qualidade acima da média,
aqui fica a faixa titulo para o seu full-length. Numa palavra -> Fantástico!



Dead Hills
Vinda da Austrália, esta one-man band, lança duas demos "Purgatory / Winds of Time" de uma só vez. Dead Hills não traz nada de novo e todos aqueles que querem descobrir "the next big thing" podem passar à frente, mas apresenta um BM claramente influenciado por Burzum, com uma qualidade aceitável que se mantém pelos 90 min desta viagem. Deixo aqui as duas primeiras músicas das duas demos, que representam bem o que irão ouvir no resto do trabalho.

Em relação a Nightbringer parece que lhes fez bem a mudança para a SOM. Não é que o cd esteja doutro mundo, mas tem uma qualidade aceitável e momentos interessantes. Dodsengel já nem vale a pena falar, já começam a faltar palavras para estes seres.
Quanto a Ofermod, eu na altura gostei do Tiamtü, até o tenho ali na prateleira, mas acho que tirando 2, 3 músicas já nem o ouço. Por isso é que ainda não sei muito bem o que esperar dali, mas estarei cá para o ouvir sem qualquer dúvida.

A unica coisa que me meteu mais impressão foram as unhas do rapaz pintadas de preto. De resto não encontrei nada que me leve a chamar-lhe Tone .
