Hordes Of the dark, watch out! The former bass-player of MOONSPELL Joao "Ares" Pedro is in a new band called WITCHBREED. The debut-CD is already recorded and will be released in the comming months. As a foretaste check out the 2007 four-track-demo "Descending Fires" in the web. WITCHBREED plays a Dark Metal-style with a lightly progressive touch and female vocals. It isn`t cliched, no worries - because singer Ruby Roque is more rocker than an elf! In addition to that her melodies never slip into a kitschy way. As recommendation listen to the opener "Brotherhood Of Fang And Clow", which you can find on the album, too.

covers Iron Maiden – “Children of the Damned” unreleased studio
version unleashed!

On the verge
of releasing our debut "Heretic Rapture" we decided to offer
you all a petite hors d'oeuvre in the shape of our own version of Iron
Maiden's classic "Children of the Damned".

As you might
know we are finally done with the "Heretic Rapture" recordings
and because we couldn't keep ourselves busy enough while we wait
for the final product we decided to re-work on our first ever cover
for a truly Metal classic, and actually is quite interesting how it
sums up a big part of what "Heretic Rapture" sounds like,
although this song is not included on the album nor it was recorded
during the album sessions we recorded it by ourselves and we hope you
will enjoy it as much as we do.

Se bem entendi a tua duvida/Português, não sabes se os Witchbreed são uma banda real ou uma criação de estudio, espero ser esta a interpretação correcta das tuas palavras. Pois bem, tal como a maioria das bandas hoje em dia, temos de ser ambos e um pouco mais ainda. A decisão desta versão tem a ver com....nada em concreto, apeteceu-nos porque somos fans de Maiden e dada a nossa natureza experimentalista nunca iriamos tocar ipsis verbis uma musica que não nos pertence. Em relação á promoção/mainstream, esperemos que funcione descomprometidamente em qualquer um dos meios que referiste, hoje em dia não existem formulas nem receitas garantidas e as fronteiras são cada vez mais tenues. Por isso quem gosta ouve e saca, quem não gosta tem bom remedio...
